“Today’s announcement of a Royal Commission into Aged Care is welcomed by the Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association (CPSA)”, said CPSA Policy Coordinator Paul Versteege.
“The aged care industry will be shown to be as rotten as the banking and financial services industry. It is now time for a real clean-up of the industry and time to forget about the dime-adozen reviews and reforms of the last few years.
“CPSA looks forward to contributing to the drafting of the Terms of Reference for this Royal Commission. Those organisations and people who have worked tirelessly to get a Royal Commission up are best placed to provide input into its Terms of Reference from the perspective of people that use aged care.
“CPSA calls on the Federal Opposition to commit to the Royal Commission into Aged Care”, said Versteege.
