Today CPSA is releasing the letter it has written to Prime Minister Scott Morrisson to offer CPSA’s participation in the drafting of the Terms of Reference of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. A copy of the letter is attached to this release:

CPSA welcomes the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and applauds the Government’s decision in this regard.

As an advocacy organisation of long standing and with a strong interest in aged care policy, CPSA considers it is well placed to contribute to the drafting of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety’s Terms of Reference.

CPSA notes that, in your announcement, you specifically mention the community and aged care providers and wanting their input into the Terms of Reference for this Royal Commission. CPSA has a long track record in aged care advocacy and continues its efforts in this regard in a manner which clearly differentiates it from other organisations.
